Grossmänn Backerei, a german Bakery chain approached us to help develop their brand identity, branded products and packaging.
GB wanted the brand to be a cool new take on a traditional Bakery. In Germany people visit the Bakery almost everyday for fresh breads and pastries, locals use them almost as cafés and places to meet with friends. For this reason they wanted the brand to be open to allow them the ability to expand what they offer without clashing with their own brand. They wanted a simple vintage look and the use of natural and homely materials and textures, whilst retaining a clean edge.
We came up with a stylised "G" mark based on the original logo for the family business when founded over 20 years ago. This is then accompanied by a monoline typeface that can be adapted to work in almost any sector within the business. This lead us onto looking at packaging and branding of promotional items and products at GB.
